Highbrook Motel Bar Harbor

Meet the Owners

For over twenty-five years, the Highbrook Motel in Bar Harbor, Maine has been lovingly operated by June & Lewis Bowden.

At our†family operated business, you will find a member of†our family at the motel every day, making sure that each†guest†is comfortable and cared for. We enjoy assisting our guests with their sightseeing plans and offering suggestions over a fresh cup of coffee. We are open seasonally from May through October and we look forward to providing you with the best possible service and accommodations as well as one of the best lodging†values among the hotels, motels and inns's located in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Our son, Adam, can be found behind the front desk or around the property†nearly every day of the season.†He is the third generation of the Bowden family to venture into the hospitality field.†Throughout high school and†college he†worked fulltime at the Highbrook. He has now graduated from college and chosen to carry on the family tradition.

Our daughter, Lynne, has a degree in nursing and works in the medical field but she can also be found helping out in the office whenever she is not busy with patients. Her desire to help people will carry on a family tradition of caring for others.

We also†have a very dedicated staff of housekeepers who strive to maintain our guest rooms to the highest possible standards. They take great pride in their work and pay attention to detail, to ensure your stay is enjoyable.

We look forward to greeting you at the Highbrook Motel and sharing beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine with you. We hope that you will become one of the many guests that we welcome back each year.
