BOWDEN FAMILY TIPS

The Island Explorer is the best free means of transportation in the area. Be sure to take advantage of it.

The Island Explorer will pick you up in front of the Highbrook and drop you off right in the center of the downtown. This alleviates worrying about finding a parking space.

Shops are generally open 7 days a week during the season (May - October).

If walking around downtown Bar Harbor be sure to check out Bar Island at low tide.

The Shore Path is a must see attraction in Bar Harbor. It is a half mile walk right along Frenchman's Bay.
